News & PressRecycled Bronze Hardware from Rocky Mountain Hardware
Wednesday August 06, 2008 - Rocky Mountain Hardware is certified by third-party Scientific Certification Services to contain a minimum of 72% recycled bronze. This percentage breaks down to a minimum of 50% post-consumer recycled bronze with the balance contributed from pre-consumer recycled bronze. Beyond being eco-conscious, this fine hardware boasts precision craftsmanship and attention to detail, along with a lifetime warranty.
Family-owned and operated, Rocky Mountain Hardware is made in the U.S, at an Idaho facility that extends the company’s green commitment. When the company expanded their headquarters, they turned to LEED certification standards for guidance. The result: the use of potable water was reduced by 42%, 79% of the construction waste was recycled, 31% of the total building materials include recycled content and the manufacturing closed loop water recycling system saves an estimated 700,000 gallons per year. In addition, 86% of regularly occupied work spaces are illuminated by daylight. Rocky Mountain Hardware is currently seeking LEED certification for new construction.
